Back in the studio today to finish up. Fun facts: home of The Muppets, this is also the place where Charlie Chaplin founded his studios in 1917. Also home to records like Carole King’s “Tapestry”, Joni Mitchell’s “Blue”, and “We Are The World”. I’d say I’m in good company ☺️

First couple days at Henson Studios recording my new EP with Don Was & Guitar Center - in the books! I’ve been spoiled rotten…and I’m loving every minute of it. These musicians are insane. Mark Goldenberg on guitar (Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt), James Gadson on drums (Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Quincy Jones), Don Was (producer), Hutch Hutchinson on bass (Bonnie Raitt), and Michito Sanchez (Rolling Stones, Elton John) on percussion (left to right). Such a great, positive energy from everyone in the studio, creating music and having fun. That’s how it should be!

Lots of reasons why this week is exciting, but one is soaking in the knowledge & experience of Don Was. Studio countdown…

It’s Christmas in July! I am flattered that my Christmas song, “Lead Me With Your Light,” was chosen as winner of an American Songwriting Award. I co-wrote the song with Carson Henley, my go-to writing partner and brother. Listen to the song by clicking the logo above.

So excited to get back into the studio this summer and record with Don Was. Here’s a little bit of a new one called “Blackout.” (click the link above to listen)
